~New Hobby Love ~

Recently I stumbled upon a fun new hobby when I got a Canon HD camera!  I've never had a cool camera like this so I've been learning from scratch. I started with some stills for practice... As soon as I began viewing the world through the camera's lens, I was inspired!

This series were taken from the roof of my building and around my neighborhood...

Lana Del Wrong

My sis Mary introduced me to Lana Del Rey's music on Youtube... Not only did I love her music, it inspired me to start thinking about a spoof...... And after seeing her on SNL, I knew I had to do it!!!!

~Princess Vanity Love~

For as long as I can remember...  I've wanted a white vanity and a beautiful chandelier in my own princess corner...  I kept an eye out for years and every time I saw either one for sale they were pretty expensive...  So I started looking for an old wood vanity I could paint...

I found this vintage vanity on craigslist and this old table at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena...

I'd never painted furniture before... Boy was I in for some work!

First, I primed them both and let them dry, then put on three layers of white paint, and topped them off with gold finish!    

With a little hard work, I finally have my dream vanity! I also found this vintage chandelier at the Rose Bowl Flea Market! 

Yay! My princess corner is now complete!

The great photos you see all around my blog were shot by Christina Gandolfo with help from her lovely assisant Stephanie Dunham. These women are not only professional, they're creatively inspiring and a true joy to be around! They made me feel so comfortable and free to be myself. I'm obviously a huge fan of Christina's work and highly recommend shooting with her if you want the best version of yourself to come through in a picture!

Lady Films

My sketch group 'Curly Maple Surprise' made this fun trailer. Not only was I in it, I got to do all the hair, make-up and wardrobe for everyone! We whipped everything together in just a day and shot on a green screen. It was so much fun!!! -Amara Cash
